India got its sensational video as Bollywood star Deepika Padukone, along with 98 other women from Mumbai have featured in a short video titled ‘My Choice’ and voiced equality for females in all spheres of life. The featured video on you tube has many disagreement to its concept that has been on display. Many movie stars disagreed to Deepika’s Video My choice a two-minute-34-second video is directed by Homi Adajania. It is produced by Dinesh Vijan. The black-and-white video see the 29-year-old actress calling for change in the “caged” mind-set of men about women and asking them to stop judging the fairer sex for their choices of clothes, profession and life. Fearless Diva Deepika has really taken up the case of woman empowerment despite the entire hula boo against the concept.

rp_334770119_150_150.jpgThe complete video telling the men clan about women empowerment, to stop judging women regarding their choices, their attire, what sex preference they have, the freedom to decide how a woman want her body to be, when to get married or if I ever want to walk down the aisle, to decide whether to be straight or a lesbian…,” Deepika said in the video. Other known faces in the video are Farhan Akhtar’s wife Adhuna and sister Zoya and Homi’s designer wife Anaita. All the 99 women are dressed in black attires. It is penned by Kersi Khambatta, who was the co-writer in “Being Cyrus” and “Finding Fanny”. The clip is a part of the Vogue’s initiative on women’s empowerment and it’s all good. People who have seen it and giving nasty comments must remember that it’s better to accept change rather than creating fiasco out of it. The very stylist Sonam kapoor has quoted she doesn’t require to make video to say whether she is a powerful woman or not, but we all beg to differ. If she really doesn’t need the main stream of video then why she is showing half of her boobs for a new magazine in print world? Come on, Bollywood stars it’s your bad luck you are not chosen for something so fruitful. Hence, stop saying stupid things around.

Now such double standards will never affect the fearless Diva Deepika as she tried to keep her head high ,despite all the idiotic comments both from men who are scared of such videos and of female movie stars who don’t have guts to accept bare truth of having sex outside their so-called relationship and marriage. Time has come when Indian people need to grow up mentally, to accept reality without being touchy unnecessarily.
