Google has launched Android 5.0 Lollipop, making its debut on the Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 devices, the latter of which went on sale today. Android 5.0 code has how been released, meaning the countdown has started.
The new devices will be available from November 2014 onwards, but the real question is when will Android 5.0 Lollipop will appear on your existing device.

We’ve contacted the various phone manufacturers for comment, and we’ll be updating this list as and when updates to Android Lollipop are confirmed, so stay tuned.
The Nexus devices are always first in line for Android updates and Android Lollipop has been be no different, with the rollout starting the moment the Nexus 6 became available..
The Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7, Nexus 10 and Google Play edition devices are all being updated to Android Lollipop and that update has already started to roll out, so you could already have it.
The Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 launch with the new software, with both the Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 available now.
HTC has a 90-day promise for updates, already confirming that the HTC One will be updated. That 90-day window started on 4 November, so the M7 and M8 should be updated by February 2014.
